The company decided to relaunch its website and e-commerce operations internally. The move to Stripe and Shopify doubled Le Tanneur’s online conversion rate from its previous website. No longer were our shoppers forced to create an account to pay; they could pay in record time,” says Alice Benoit, Digital Manager at Le Tanneur.
Anti-fraud efforts backed by Stripe Radar
Fraudulent charges are prevalent in the luxury retail industry, particularly with foreign credit cards. Before partnering with Stripe, Le Tanneur managed fraud risk manually with an external agency, which was expensive and time consuming. Stripe Radar has addressed this critical challenge, allowing Le Tanneur to mitigate fraud internally with an automated solution. Leveraging both Radar and 3DS, Le Tanneur has saved hours of company resources while maintaining a high level of reporting and protection against fraud.
Built for today and for tomorrow
Currently, 10% of Le Tanneur’s revenue is driven by its online storefront. As the company looks to expand in new markets across Europe, its goals include increasing e-commerce sales. Because of Stripe’s Global Payments and Treasury Network (GPTN), Le Tanneur has the opportunity to add more global payment methods from a single integration within the system it already has in place with Shopify, allowing it to easily scale to additional countries.
