With nearly 300 million users across 190 countries, Wix is a leading platform for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and teams to build, manage, and grow their online presence. What began as a website builder has transformed into a robust infrastructure powering everything from design and commerce to marketing, scheduling, and customer management. Today, Wix is one of the largest and most advanced AI-powered creation platforms, built to give anyone access to the tools anyone needs to run a modern digital business.
Wix launched Stripe within Wix Payments in 2020, integrating Stripe Connect and Stripe Payments, and enabled Wix users in the US to accept payments through the platform. That offering is now expanding as Wix and Stripe will offer white-labeled payments in 11 countries in EMEA. Now, Wix businesses in EMEA can gain a holistic understanding of their operations across online sales channels and point of sale in the UK. As part of the expansion, Wix activated popular local payment methods, including iDEAL in the Netherlands. Wix also launched Clearpay in the UK and Klarna in EMEA to give customers flexible spending options—a natural decision, given the adoption of buy now, pay later (BNPL) with Wix’s US merchants.
“Bringing Stripe as part of Wix Payments in EMEA strengthens our partnership and reflects our shared commitment to simplifying how businesses earn and grow,” said Amit Sagiv and Vova Tsukur, co-heads at Wix Payments. “As commerce shifts across channels, we’re making sure merchants have a seamless, secure payments experience that grows with them—no matter their location.”
Wix and Stripe have been partners since 2014, processing billions of dollars on behalf of business owners on the Wix platform. Stripe continually optimizes its integrated product suite to reduce friction and enhance conversion. Looking ahead, Wix plans to offer Stripe-powered Wix Payments in additional EMEA countries, as well as expand to APAC.
Wix works hard to stay ahead of the curve—that’s a value we share with Stripe. Expanding Wix Payments to EMEA is just one example of how we work together to help businesses streamline their operations even as they scale.
