Founded in 2012, BriteCore’s growing customer base of midsize carriers and managing general agents (MGAs) faced increasing complexity in premium payment processing and reconciliation. Over the years, BriteCore had built integrations with multiple different payment vendors to address specific client requests.
While this approach initially provided flexibility, over time it created significant operational challenges. Maintaining multiple integrations made it difficult to deliver consistent user experiences, slowed new feature rollouts, and diverted engineering resources from core platform innovation. The fragmented system also prevented BriteCore from introducing advanced payment capabilities like real-time reconciliation and modern digital payment options.
BriteCore needed to simplify payment operations while maintaining security and compliance standards. The company required a scalable solution that could handle growing transaction volumes without increasing operational complexity, as manual payment tracking across different vendors consumed valuable resources.
Most importantly, BriteCore’s insurance clients wanted modern payment flexibility, including digital wallets and automated reconciliation, but existing integrations were cumbersome and difficult to scale across their carrier base.
Solution
BriteCore selected Stripe as its preferred payments partner and integrated Stripe Payments and Stripe Connect into the BriteCore platform.
With the Payment Element, a secure, embeddable UI component that allows businesses to accept a wide variety of payment methods with a single integration, BriteCore enabled payment methods such as ACH, in addition to credit cards.
To onboard and manage insurers, BriteCore uses Stripe Connect’s embedded onboarding and account management embedded component. Insurers and MGAs can complete Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, configure payouts, and manage their accounts without leaving the BriteCore interface.
Meanwhile, Stripe Managed Risk protects carriers and BriteCore from fraud and minimizes chargebacks through adaptive machine learning and dispute workflows. Stripe’s embedded payments components, including payment details and payouts, enable end‑to‑end flows and automatic synchronization between Stripe and BriteCore’s billing module.
