Voodoo partners with Stripe in the US to offer streamlined in-app purchases

Voodoo, the world leader in casual player games, has optimized in-app purchasing for its mobile games and social apps in iOS environments. The French unicorn is using Stripe Payments, Stripe Billing, Stripe Tax, and Stripe Radar to strengthen its payments infrastructure and better serve US customers.

Founded in 2013, Voodoo develops popular mobile games, such as Monster Survivors and Mob Control, and social media apps including Wizz and BeReal—which it acquired in 2024. In June 2025, Voodoo partnered with Stripe to strengthen its payments infrastructure, integrating Payments and other Stripe products into some of its games on iOS devices in the US.

Now, Voodoo can seamlessly redirect US customers from its iOS app to a mobile checkout page powered by Stripe Checkout, allowing the company to save up to 90% in payment fees. Valued at nearly $2 billion, Voodoo derives over half its revenue from the US market.

“We are committed to having a best-in-class payment infrastructure as we look to grow our reach in the US,” said Alok Rai, product lead at Voodoo. “With Stripe handling the full range of payment-related functions, we can focus on building more iconic apps and games that delight consumers.”

Voodoo has implemented Stripe’s end-to-end payments platform to support US transactions for some of its games—a process that took just three weeks, thanks in part to integration support from Stripe professional services. As Voodoo’s merchant of record in the US, Stripe will provide support beyond processing payments, including managing subscriptions, tax compliance, and disputes and refunds.

Stripe is uniquely equipped to support clients in navigating the entire payment process. Its integrated platform—including Payments, Billing, Tax, and Radar—is helping Voodoo boost authorization rates and margins, reduce fraud, and ensure tax compliance in more than 30 US states. In addition, Voodoo will avoid foreign exchange fees on US payments with Stripe’s multicurrency settlement functionality, which automatically converts all incoming funds into euros.

“The transition to Stripe has been seamless,” said Baptiste Durif, head of ad monetization and of user acquisition innovation. “With Stripe in our corner, we’re better positioned than ever to serve existing US customers and keep our growth momentum going.”
