About the team

Legal Operations designs and operates the systems, workflows, and programs that help Stripe’s Legal organization work effectively at scale. The team partners with Legal practices, Product, Engineering, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to deliver durable operational and technical solutions.

What you’ll do

As a Legal Program Manager supporting Launch Readiness, you will manage contracting-system and workflow changes required for new products, commercial offerings, and other business launches. You will translate launch and Legal-practice needs into clear delivery plans, coordinate work across legal subject-matter experts and technical partners, and guide changes through design, testing, release, and stabilization. Your work will involve contract templates, approval workflows, intake processes, reporting, automation, and integrations across systems like Ironclad, Salesforce, Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) tools, and other internal contracting tools. You will own the operational delivery of assigned contracting-system initiatives while partnering with technical specialists and engineers on implementation. You will also help establish reusable patterns, documentation, and controls that make future changes safer and more scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracting-system and workflow initiatives supporting product launches and monetized offerings, translating business and legal requirements into clear scope, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Product Operations, Legal, Product, Engineering, Sales, Deal Management, and other stakeholders, aligning system changes with broader launch plans and decision dates.
  • Lead changes to contract templates, intake forms, questionnaires, approvals, reporting, automations, and related workflows from design and configuration through testing, deployment, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Assess downstream impacts on contract output, approvals, integrations, data and access controls, reporting, and user experience.
  • Maintain visibility into delivery status, dependencies, decisions, risks, and blockers, escalating launch-critical issues with clear impact assessments, options, and recommendations.
  • Confirm that testing, release documentation, rollback and support plans, and other readiness evidence are complete before production changes are made.
  • Develop repeatable intake, testing, release, documentation, and change-management practices, including approved patterns and controls that enable safe self-service for appropriate low-risk changes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve system reliability, address technical debt, and create reusable solutions across Legal practices.
