About the team

The Global GTM Operations team is responsible for overall productivity and effectiveness of the GTM organization, partnering closely with the sales team and teams across Stripe to drive initiatives.  This role will partner directly with the head of the global Solution Architecture, whose team is responsible for pre-sales technical assessment and technical validation of Users in partnership with Sales. This role will be expected to drive the rhythm of business, data insights / reporting, strategic initiatives, annual planning and execution. We advance the sales policies, processes and tools to drive revenue and growth.

This is an incredible opportunity that plays an integral role in shaping and executing GTM strategies with Sales leaders.  Responsibilities include go-to-market design, resource planning, territory alignment and quotas management, sales process optimization, and business analytics. You will also partner with key cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance & Strategy, adjacent Sales Operations teams, Global Systems & Processes, and the Strategy Planning and Insights team to streamline and optimize our internal processes and deliverables (monthly business reviews, weekly forecasting calls, target setting and planning). We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about their work, detail oriented, analytical and has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity in a high-growth environment, and solving problems with limited oversight.

What you’ll do

The Solution Architecture team is growing rapidly and is in need of a strong strategy and ops business partner that can help scale the operations and drive strategy of the team. This entails a focus on operational projects (process design, business cadences, systems work) and everything related to planning and running their business, including: org design and planning, sales coverage models, setting SOKRs, measuring and providing insights on performance, and process improvement.  In addition to engaging with the Solutions Architecture team, you will also be collaborating with numerous cross-functional stakeholders from across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in developing go-to market strategy, resource plan and key performance metrics.
  • Create and manage operational processes such as territory planning, quota setting, quarterly compensation.
  • Work cross-functionally to investigate and conduct analysis on system and operational issues
  • Develop and execute initiatives designed to optimize team efficiency and productivity
  • Drive rhythm of business (weekly business reviews, monthly / quarterly business reviews) with strong operational rigor.
  • Provide insights on key performance metrics and priorities (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews), identify key roadblocks to progress, and work efficiently to remove them
  • Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth and provide key insights for business leadership to support strategic decision-making
  • Drive critical projects and initiatives and drive alignment with cross-functional teams across the organization by developing detailed project plans with activity based milestones
  • Oversee implementation of enabling systems and tools, working closely with internal systems teams

Who you are

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of sales strategy and operations experience in a high-tech growth environment, or operational experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or business insights / analytics roles. Knowledge of sales data such as customer accounts, opportunities and revenue. 11+ years of total work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Strong business acumen and ​​distinctive problem solving and analysis skills. Ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a structured approach to solving unique business problems
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills to include experience financial modelling
  • Experience working with large data sets, especially in analyzing large imperfect data sets to solve problems and creating scalable reports and dashboards or ad-hoc analysis
  • Stakeholder management experience - with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Self-starter and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Communicate clearly, proactively, and concisely
  • Works well under pressure, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment
  • An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality. Works well under pressure, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or higher degree in an analytical field
  • Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company or FinTech
  • Proficiency in BI visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience in Salesforce.com as a user and report developer
  • 2+ years of people management experience

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $189,400 - $284,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
