Account Executive, Product Sales - Open Issuance

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe builds financial infrastructure for businesses—from ambitious startups to global enterprises. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we’re building the tools that help businesses participate in and grow the global economy.

About the team

Stripe’s Crypto team is building financial infrastructure for a world where money moves as easily as information. Across Stripe, Bridge, and Privy, we help businesses build products powered by stablecoins, wallets, and programmable money movement.

Open Issuance is central to that opportunity. Built by Bridge, a Stripe company, it enables businesses to launch and manage their own stablecoins. Alongside it, Open Standard—the independent organization behind Open USD (OUSD)—is building a shared stablecoin network with broad distribution and economics designed to benefit the businesses driving adoption.

We’re hiring one of the founding sellers of our Open Issuance go-to-market team. You’ll partner closely with Open Standard and teams across Stripe, Bridge, and Privy on a major strategic bet: challenging the stablecoin duopoly and giving businesses more choice, control, and participation in the economics of digital dollars.

This is an opportunity to help build a market—not simply sell into an established one.

What you’ll do

You’ll own new-business development with high-potential businesses building the next generation of financial products. You’ll help founders, executives, and technical teams understand where stablecoins can create meaningful value, whether through adopting OUSD or launching their own stablecoin with Open Issuance.

As a founding seller, you’ll shape the strategy as well as execute it. You’ll identify early customers, develop compelling commercial use cases, close complex deals, and turn those engagements into a repeatable sales motion. You should be equally comfortable opening doors, working through technical and commercial details, and creating structure where no playbook exists.

Responsibilities

  • Own a revenue target and the full sales lifecycle, from proactive prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, launch, and expansion.
  • Build a net-new pipeline of companies, platforms, fintechs, and other businesses with strong potential to adopt OUSD or Open Issuance.
  • Develop trusted relationships with founders, CEOs, CFOs, and product and engineering leaders, translating complex infrastructure into a clear business case.
  • Partner closely with Open Standard to develop opportunities, coordinate customer engagements, and grow adoption of OUSD.
  • Help customers evaluate opportunities across stablecoin issuance, global money movement, treasury, payouts, and emerging AI and agentic-commerce use cases.
  • Lead technically and commercially complex sales in partnership with Solutions Architecture, Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Help define the team’s initial customer segments, qualification criteria, positioning, commercial approaches, and operating cadence.
  • Bring structured customer and competitive feedback to Product and Engineering, influencing what we build and how we bring it to market.
  • Turn early wins into repeatable playbooks while remaining hands-on in prospecting, deal execution, and customer launches.

Who you are

We’re looking for a seller who combines a hunter’s drive with a builder’s mindset. You’re motivated by ambitious targets, but equally interested in understanding how a product works and why a customer should adopt it. You can earn credibility with technical founders, navigate complex organizations, and make progress when the product, market, and sales motion are evolving.

If you meet the minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a prerequisite.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience in technology, fintech, crypto, payments, or financial infrastructure, with a track record of strong commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated success generating your own pipeline and winning net-new business.
  • Experience leading complex, consultative sales involving multiple stakeholders and customized commercial agreements.
  • Ability to become a trusted advisor to senior business leaders while engaging credibly with product and technical teams.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to connect a customer’s business model, money flows, and product strategy to a compelling solution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain unfamiliar technical concepts clearly.
  • Comfort operating with autonomy, navigating ambiguity, and building processes rather than relying on an established playbook.
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to take ownership of the work required to help customers succeed.

Preferred qualifications

  • * Experience selling to AI-native companies, developer platforms, fintechs, wallets, or crypto-native businesses.
    • Experience with stablecoins, issuance, treasury, cross-border payments, or embedded finance.
    • Experience selling API-based infrastructure or bringing regulated financial products to market.
    • Experience as an early or founding seller who helped build a new product’s go-to-market motion.
    • Familiarity with agentic commerce and the financial infrastructure needs of AI-driven businesses.

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $262,900 - $394,300. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
