About the team

Payments Product Sales is a team of deep functional and technical specialists who lead and advise on opportunities for some of the most strategically important products in Stripe’s portfolio. We work alongside Stripe’s Core Sales and Customer Success teams to help users adopt products that improve payment experiences, increase conversion, support international growth, and create new sources of revenue.

We are hiring an Account Executive, Product - Local Payment Methods to grow adoption of Stripe’s local payment methods across AMER. This role will work across Stripe’s global LPM portfolio while developing particular expertise in the payment preferences, market dynamics, and user opportunities most relevant to North America and Latin America. The portfolio and market emphasis will evolve as user needs and Stripe’s capabilities grow.

As an Account Executive, Product focused on Local Payment Methods, you will be a quota-carrying product-sales overlay responsible for growing adoption and revenue across new and existing Stripe users. You will partner with Core Account Executives and Customer Success Managers throughout the sales cycle—from opportunity identification and discovery through business-case development, commercial negotiation, technical validation, implementation, activation, and expansion.

You will help some of Stripe’s largest and most sophisticated users understand how regionally relevant payment methods can support conversion, customer choice, global expansion, and sustainable revenue growth for users and payment-method partners. You will develop deep knowledge of Stripe’s portfolio and the payment behaviors that shape commerce across AMER, including bank-based payments, wallets, real-time payment experiences, and other market-specific methods.

You are an adept salesperson who can engage in business and technical conversations at multiple levels of an organization. You are comfortable navigating product-led integrations and complex customer structures, and you can turn payment-method complexity into a clear commercial and technical path forward. You enjoy building value in competitive situations and creating scalable go-to-market motions from what you learn in the field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver against an individual quota by driving adoption, payment volume, and revenue for Stripe’s local payment methods across AMER.
• Partner with Core Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to identify, qualify, develop, and close high-potential LPM opportunities across new and existing users.
• Build territory and account strategies that reflect local payment preferences and user expansion priorities across North America and Latin America.
• Lead discovery with business, product, finance, and technical stakeholders to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate payment-method strategies.
• Develop customer-specific business cases that connect LPM adoption to conversion, customer choice, market entry, and revenue growth.
• Lead complex commercial discussions and coordinate with Partnerships and Deal teams when opportunities involve payment-method partners or bespoke commercial structures.
• Work with Solutions Architecture, Product, Engineering, and Post-Sales teams to translate user requirements into viable integration and launch plans.
• Guide users from initial evaluation through technical validation, implementation, activation, and post-launch expansion.
• Monitor adoption and payment volume after launch, identify barriers and whitespace, and coordinate with account teams on growth plans.
• Serve as an internal and customer-facing LPM expert, creating field enablement, account-planning guidance, and repeatable regional sales plays.
• Synthesize market intelligence and user feedback for Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Marketing to help inform product and go-to-market priorities.

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or a closely related commercial role at a technology company, with a track record of strong performance against goals.
• Experience leading complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple business, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to understand technical product requirements and translate them into clear customer outcomes and commercially viable solutions.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with product and engineering teams, operational leaders, and C-level executives.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience developing business cases and leading complex commercial negotiations.
• A self-starting, highly organized approach and the ability to deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time for user meetings, team events, sales kickoffs, and occasional international business needs.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in payments, alternative payment methods, ecommerce, or financial technology.
• Knowledge of payment preferences and commerce trends across North America or Latin America.
• Experience working in a product-sales overlay model alongside account executives, customer success teams, or technical sellers.
• Familiarity with product-led integrations and complex customer organizational or account structures.
• Experience helping businesses enter new markets, localize payment experiences, or improve checkout conversion.
