Head of Specialist Solutions Architecture, Revenue (AMER)

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are domain experts aligned to Stripe’s solutions and the customer buying centers they serve. We combine deep product and industry expertise with an understanding of our customers’ most complex business and technical challenges.

The SSA team partners with specialist sellers and the broader pre-sales organization to shape strategic opportunities, develop pipeline, improve revenue attainment, and turn Stripe’s product capabilities into measurable customer outcomes. We also bring field insights to Product and Engineering, helping influence Stripe’s roadmap and go-to-market strategy.

What you'll do

As Head of Specialist Solutions Architecture for Revenue in the Americas, you will lead the regional strategy, execution, and growth of the SSA organization supporting Stripe’s Revenue Suite. You will define how Stripe engages customers around billing, monetization, and revenue management—from initial business and technical discovery through solution design, adoption, value realization, and expansion.

You will build and develop a high-performing team of specialist architects and create the operating model, playbooks, and cross-functional partnerships needed to scale the organization. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Alliances, Professional Services, Support, Product, and Engineering, you will help customers modernize their revenue infrastructure while accelerating adoption and growth for Stripe’s Revenue Suite across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

This is an opportunity to shape a growing regional function at an important point in Stripe’s expansion beyond payments. You will connect deep technical expertise to customer value and commercial outcomes while ensuring that the needs of AMER customers influence Stripe’s global product and go-to-market direction.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the AMER technical sales strategy for Stripe’s Revenue Suite, aligning specialist coverage, priorities, and investments with regional growth opportunities
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team of specialist solutions architects, establishing clear expectations for technical excellence, customer impact, and commercial contribution
  • Partner with Sales leadership to prioritize resources, shape territory and account strategies, and improve the progression and conversion of complex opportunities
  • Establish repeatable engagement models, playbooks, reference architectures, and execution standards for Stripe Billing, Revenue Recognition, and related revenue management solutions
  • Advise executives, developers, architects, finance leaders, and other decision-makers on modernizing their monetization and revenue-management architectures
  • Guide strategic customers from business and technical discovery through solution design, validation, adoption, value realization, and expansion
  • Translate recurring customer needs, market signals, and deal friction into actionable insights that influence Product and Engineering priorities
  • Represent the Revenue SSA organization in regional and global leadership forums, providing clear perspectives on performance, capacity, risks, customer needs, and growth opportunities
  • Shape the Revenue Suite go-to-market approach across AMER, accounting for regional regulatory requirements, business models, and market-specific billing practices
  • Build strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing mechanisms across AMER and global teams to improve consistency, reuse, and execution quality.
  • Advance Stripe’s external thought leadership through executive briefings, industry events, white papers, and reference architectures focused on billing, monetization, and revenue management

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions architecture, solution consulting, or another customer-facing technical role in enterprise technology
  • 10+ years of experience building and scaling pre-sales or solutions architecture teams, including hiring, managing, coaching, and developing senior individual contributors
  • Demonstrated success partnering with sales leaders on complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise opportunities and connecting technical strategy to commercial outcomes
  • Deep understanding of enterprise monetization models, including subscription, consumption-based, marketplace, platform, and hybrid models, and how they shape billing and revenue-management requirements
  • Experience designing or advising on complex enterprise architectures and integrations involving financial or revenue-management systems
  • Experience operating across the United States, Canada, and Latin America, with an ability to adapt leadership and go-to-market approaches across different markets and cultures
  • Strong executive communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly to audiences ranging from developers and architects to finance leaders and C-level executives
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing, implementing, or advising on enterprise billing and financial transformation programs involving configure-price-quote, order-to-cash, revenue recognition, and ERP systems
  • Experience building a regional technical go-to-market function during a period of rapid product or organizational growth
  • A track record of translating field insights into meaningful product, engineering, or go-to-market changes
  • Experience developing executive-facing thought leadership, reference architectures, or industry-specific solution strategies
  • Familiarity with the regulatory and commercial considerations that affect billing and revenue management across AMER

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $254,600 - $382,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

We look forward to hearing from you.

At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description.
