Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
The Risk Standards team plays a critical role in enabling Stripe to grow while protecting our users, end customers, and the broader financial ecosystem from harm. We do this by establishing clear policies and standards that govern what types of business activity Stripe will support and under what conditions. As the Head of Risk Standards, you will set the team’s strategic direction and oversee the development of policies and standards that safely enable new products, industries, and markets. You will collaborate with Legal, Partnerships, Go-To-Market, and other stakeholders to design well-calibrated standards and user requirements matched to Stripe’s risk appetite. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to build and scale standards and controls. As a trusted leader with strong business acumen, you will provide expert guidance and analyses to leadership, to our most strategic customers, and to financial partners to enable Stripe to grow in a risk-conscious manner. ### Responsibilities
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
