About the team:

The Payment Methods team sits at the heart of Stripe’s business and mission to increase the GDP of the internet. We’re responsible for building out all of the non-card payment methods that currently power over half of online payments globally. We’re focused on helping businesses meet the demanding needs of buyers around the world who want to use their favorite local payment methods. There are hundreds of payment options globally that we need to build — including exciting new ones launching every day — and we’re just getting started! We work closely with our global teams to build amazing payment experiences that abstract all this complexity. 

Buy-Now-Pay-Later has long been a popular way to purchase goods in emerging markets and is one of our fastest growing payment methods worldwide. This buyer friendly payment option allows buyers to pay for their purchases over a series of installments, helping them manage cash-flow while driving positive business outcomes for merchants including improved customer retention and average order value. This payment type is currently undergoing a surge of innovation with new offerings and experiences launching daily. Merchants are excited to meet growing buyer demand for these products across B2C and even B2B markets. 

About the role:

We’re looking for a Product Manager to drive product for our BNPL team - owning Stripe’s strategy and overall approach to this rapidly evolving area end-to-end. We see amazing potential for this payment family; we are excited to delight our customers and contribute to our partners’ thought leadership and are looking for the right person to join the Payment Methods team to make this happen and more! 

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Over 4 years of Product Management experience, managing technical software products from kick-off to ship
  • A passion for understanding customer needs - developers, merchants and end-consumers
  • Led products that require collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Shipped products with impeccable product taste and great user experiences at scale
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
