About the team

To further our mission, we are seeking a University Recruiting Manager to help lead and grow a team of University Recruiters. In this role you will oversee end to end Intern and New Grad hiring, focusing on recruiter development and outstanding performance in achieving hiring goals. You also will spearhead the internship and apprentice programs globally to include, on-boarding, intern experience and HR escalations.

What you’ll do

In this position, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, influencing the future of the early talent strategy, overseeing the development and direct management of a group of recruiters, leading cross-functional projects, and handling reporting and performance management. We are looking for someone who is a proactive builder and excels in a learning-oriented environment—someone who is eager to explore new ideas, experiment with different approaches, and is open to feedback on improving our processes. You will collaborate closely with recruiting leaders to implement key programs and initiatives that strengthen Stripe’s efforts to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse range of interns and new grads.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of full-cycle UR recruiters to ensure exceptional performance, enhance their recruiting skills, and support their professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders throughout the organization to comprehend their early talent hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies to meet headcount targets.
  • Create and implement a clear diversity strategy in partnership with universities and early talent conferences and organisations globally.
  • Work collaboratively with departments such as Finance, People Operations, Benefits, Onboarding, and Legal to provide a high-quality and comprehensive candidate experience.
  • Regularly cultivate a strong pipeline of high-quality candidates by driving initiatives in branding, events, and employee referrals.
  • Provide timely reporting of key metrics and insights to inform decision-making and improve processes.

Minimum requirements

  • A trusted advisor and leader to thoughtfully ideate and design, plan and execute a hiring strategy or new talent initiative for university recruiting at Stripe.
  • Proven track record in developing university recruiting professionals - Passionate about mentoring recruiters and providing them with coaching and guidance; you are invigorated by the chance to help your direct reports reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to connect with individuals at all levels.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proven ability to provide clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Relentless drive to find and connect with the best talent, worldwide.
  • A quantitative and analytical thinker with experience and deep understanding in metrics, tooling and process improvement.
  • Experience partnering with hiring teams throughout the recruiting process, acting as an effective hiring partner and trusted advisor.

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is SGD 212,000 - SGD 318,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
