About the team

The AI team focuses on helping AI-native and AI-enabled businesses monetize and scale. We work with AI companies across infrastructure, foundation models, agents, and applications to help them grow and commercialize globally using Stripe’s financial infrastructure.

As part of Stripe’s go-to-market and Sales organization, the team partners with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to shape Stripe’s AI go-to-market strategy. We work with companies ranging from early-stage innovators to large public companies as they evaluate and use Stripe as their monetization platform.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute long-term account strategies that grow Stripe revenue with existing AI customers.
  • Own the full sales cycle, including business case development, deal structuring, negotiation, and close.
  • Build account plans and identify cross-sell opportunities across a portfolio of strategic AI customers.
  • Lead deal strategy and commercial negotiations for large, complex renewals.
  • Build relationships with executive stakeholders, understand the problems they are solving, and help identify solutions.
  • Map accounts and coordinate meetings with the right customer stakeholders to expand relationships.
  • Lead and contribute to team projects that improve sales processes and support the team’s ways of working.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally selling a technical product, with a track record of strong performance.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and develop solutions that span multiple products.
  • Ability to develop and execute account plans across multiple business units within complex organizations.
  • Experience building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills, including for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving tailored commercial agreements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of the technology landscape.

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $312,000 - $468,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
