About the team

Product Sales is a team of deep functional and technical specialists who both lead and advise on deals for the most strategically important products in Stripe’s portfolio.

Stripe is expanding its Link Product Sales team, and this role is focused exclusively on bank payments. As an Account Executive, you will help businesses give their customers a fast, trusted way to pay from a bank account using Stripe’s full stack of payments solutions while accelerating the growth of the Link network. Few roles offer such a direct opportunity to shape and grow one of Stripe’s top company priorities.

What you’ll do

As a founding Account Executive for Bank Payments, you will play a central role in shaping and executing Stripe’s go-to-market strategy for this growing product area. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other GTM teams to build deep product and industry expertise, lead complex deals, and guide in-depth conversations with existing and prospective customers. You will bring customer and market insights back to Stripe, helping influence both the product roadmap and how we take bank payments to market.

Bank payments and account connectivity are also an important part of Link’s broader vision for the future of commerce. Where the opportunity intersects with adjacent Link priorities—such as agentic commerce—you will help explore emerging customer use cases and shape how Stripe brings new experiences to market. This gives you the opportunity to build a focused bank payments business while contributing to some of Stripe’s most forward-looking initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue, adoption, and new customer acquisition for Stripe’s bank-payments portfolio across enterprise and platform customers
  • Create a strategic territory plan, lead outreach efforts, and partner with core account teams to develop a robust, qualified bank payments pipeline
  • Develop relationships with executive stakeholders and lead business and technical discussions with existing and prospective customers
  • Advise customers on bank payment use cases and tradeoffs, including conversion, account verification, returns, fraud risk, settlement experience, and costs
  • Deeply understand Stripe’s bank payments products and competitors, serving as an internal and customer-facing expert on the portfolio and market
  • Identify early-adopter customers and turn successful engagements into repeatable discovery, positioning, and deal-execution playbooks
  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to synthesize customer, win/loss, and competitive feedback that informs Stripe’s product roadmap
  • Contribute to go-to-market playbooks alongside Product, Marketing, Sales, and Technical Services stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively across Stripe to shape bank-payment products and solutions that meet customer needs

Requirements

  • 10+ years of customer facing experience at a leading technology or payments company and a track record of top performance
  • Experience building trusted advisor relationships with senior business leaders
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with cross-functional business partners
  • Self-starter capable of operating independently to drive meaningful business results
  • Enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and changing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise payments or technology solutions, ideally in bank payments, open banking, account verification, payment risk, or money movement
  • Strong understanding of ACH, Pay by Bank, and open banking payment flows, including how conversion, verification, returns, fraud risk, payment guarantees, settlement, and customer experience intersect
  • Experience launching or scaling a new payments product or category, with a track record of translating early customer wins and market feedback into repeatable go-to-market programs

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $239,000 - $358,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
