Customer and Payment Sharing Terms of Service

Last updated: January 31, 2025

1.1 Use of Payment Method Sharing.

Payment Method Sharing is a Preview Service that enables you to share Customer Payment Method information between two or more Stripe Accounts that are joined together into an “Organization”.

1.2 Conditions of Use.

Each Stripe Account must obtain all necessary rights and consents for sharing any customer information, using Payment Method Sharing, with any other accounts in an Organization. Stripe reserves the right to remove an Organization Account from an Organization or disable Payment Method Sharing for a Stripe Account in an Organization.

1.3 Administration of Payment Method Sharing.

By enabling Payment Method Sharing, each Stripe Account warrants they have collected permissions and consent from customers required to share customer information between Stripe Accounts in an Organization. Required customer permission and consent must be obtained prior to sharing customer information.

1.4 Sharing of Personal Data.

You represent as of the Effective Date, and warrant during the Term, that you have provided all notices and obtained all rights and consents, including from all Customers and other individuals whose Personal Data is processed in relation to each Organization Account, necessary to permit Stripe to lawfully share this information to other Organization Accounts. You will not permit any person to access your Organization Account or Process Personal Data associated with any Organization Account in your Organization in a manner that violates Law applicable to you or any other Organization Account.

1.5 Liability of Organization Members.

While your Stripe Account has Payment Method Sharing enabled in an Organization, you remain jointly and severally liable to Stripe for all activity within the Organization.
