What you'll do

As a Hunter Account Executive covering new business, you'll identify new opportunities to expand Stripe's footprint. Specifically, we're looking for someone who executes on long-term sales strategies, engages with internal and external stakeholders, aligns on technical and business requirements with product teams, builds value in competitive situations, leads commercial negotiations, and closes deals within the Enterprise space.

Responsibilities

  • Expand business with high-growth technology companies and traditional enterprises 
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, partnering with cross-functional teams along the way (SDR, Product Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Risk and Legal)
  • Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities 
  • Drive deal strategy and commercial negotiations for large, complex renewals
  • Own account mapping and coordinate effective meetings with appropriate external stakeholders to expand the customer relationship
  • Collaborate with the Regional Partnerships team to drive brand awareness and pipeline

Minimum requirements

  • 6+ years of sales experience, selling a highly technical product to enterprise customers, with a track record of top performance 
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple products
  • Ability to develop and execute account plans spanning multiple business units across complex organizations
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
  • High professional fluency in Spanish and English

Preferred qualifications

  • A knack for working well with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
  • Payment sales experience
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of technology, the payments landscape, and related products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €140,300 - €210,500. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
