The coronavirus pandemic has caused the popularity of virtual workouts to soar: Mindbody data show that in June, 70% of consumers were using pre-recorded video versus 17% in 2019; and that 71% were using livestream classes weekly versus 7% in 2019. Even after studios reopen, 46% of people surveyed by Mindbody stated that they intend to make virtual classes a regular part of their routine.
