What you’ll do

As a Sales Development Associate (SDA) at our Stripe Delivery Centers, you will drive Stripe’s future growth engine by working with our Sales Development Representatives and the Account Executive team to identify high quality leads and collaboratively build Stripe’s sales pipeline. You will conduct highly targeted research to identify high quality leads and manage early activities in the sales funnel. You will lead research efforts to identify decision makers, curate lead lists, craft outreach messages, and confirm supportability with Stripe’s policies.   • Research high potential companies and identify key decision makers and contacts for account executives to contact. 
  • Draft sales plays, (custom sales messaging and approach strategies tailored for individual leads) for sales representatives and account executives. 
  • Curate and improve lead lists.  Research specific criteria for each contact (name, title, phone number, personalized email address, potential interest areas, potential pain points)
  • Check potential leads for compliance and fit with Stripe’s supportability policies 
  • Set up sales campaigns and leads within SalesForce to facilitate tracking and efficient outreach by sales reps. SFDC and Salesloft campaign set-up
  • Craft suggested personalized outreach message including, outreach emails, cold call speaking points, and introductory meeting talking points.
  • Analyze our processes and instigate changes to help scale our operations and improve sales team effectiveness
  • Work closely with other Stripe teams to improve our sales messaging around new products and features 

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 1+ - 3 years of experience in the sales operations/research/support function 
  • You have some experience with sales tools (e.g. Zoominfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator, Salesforce, Salesloft etc.)
  • You have a user first mindset and are energized by the challenge of solving difficult problems
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • You excel in analytical thinking, open ended research, and problem solving
  • You enjoy learning about technical products and processes, you are an organized, self-starter with passion for finding solutions
  • You have a process-oriented mindset and ability to get things done
  • You enjoy working in an in-office environment with strong cross team collaboration and support
  • You are able to prioritize and enjoy working in a quick-moving environment
  • You are humble and have a proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience collaborating with SDRs and AEs 

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengalaru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.
