About the team

Product Sales is a team of deep functional and technical specialists who both lead and advise on deals for the most strategically important products in Stripe’s portfolio. The Payments Product Sales team is tasked with engaging the largest most complex users in the industry to provide solutions that address their back end payment challenges. The team is lean, high visibility, and highly cross-functional.

What you’ll do

In this position, you will lead and develop a team of Account Executives Product (AEP) to help win and drive growth of our back end payments offerings (Pinless, Identity, Radar, Multi Processor, FX, Payouts) globally. The Product Sales Manager will work closely with sales leadership, marketing, product marketing, and product teams to develop deep product and industry knowledge. This role will focus on driving strategic deals and partnering with the product team to evolve and develop product-market fit. You will own the coaching, development, and performance of your team, driving the forecast of the product line. This role will be instrumental in leading in-depth product discussions with existing and prospective customers – and building and executing against our go-to-market strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of strategic Account Executives for Product
  • Work with senior leadership to develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team, and manage day-to-day operations with a focus on performance against key sales and growth metrics
  • Be accountable for increasing revenue and driving product attach 
  • Create go-to-market plans alongside product, marketing, sales, and finance stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across the organization to help shape Stripe’s products and solutions to meet customer needs
  • Coach, mentor, and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills
  • Inspire, motivate, and enable individual development to promote career growth of direct report

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience leading sales, new business, and operations in an early stage, high-growth technology environment
  • Proven track record of high performance in a new business sales or existing customer upselling role
  • Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic clients and industry thought leaders
  • Ability to bring new products to market
  • Demonstrated passion for Stripe’s mission
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and build strong relationships with highly technical customers

Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $307,200 - $460,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
