About the team

Financial infrastructure for the internet must also interact with real-world financial and economic infrastructure, to manage risk, compliance, legal liability, and otherwise be a secure participant in the global financial ecosystem. These interactions often occur via legacy systems and processes that require substantial manual work.  

The Work Platform team builds the tools and platforms that enable the Stripe business to scale across those real world systems for any kind of large scale operational work. 

What you’ll do

As the Work Platform Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for defining and building the internal SaaS platform that will enable every team at Stripe to execute real world operations effectively and efficiently. For teams without engineering support - you’ll create no-code systems that can handle any kind of work and provide out of the box observability and repeatability. For product teams you’ll ensure they can build the critical applications and workflows to scale their business. 

Day to day you’ll be working closely with a team of engineers in Bucharest as well as operational experts from the Operations organization. You’ll collaborate with peers in the Admin Platform, Support Experience, Risk Experience teams and many others to craft the vision for the future of work at Stripe.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in the landscape of work at Stripe across a diverse set of products and business areas, e.g. Risk,  Financial Crimes, Legal, Tax, Compliance etc. 
  
• Partner closely with Stripe’s Operations teams, including Workforce Management, Strategy & Analytics, Operations Technology, and more. 
  
• Build the vision, define and execute the strategy for the Work Platform at Stripe 
  
• Have a profound impact on the trajectory of the Stripe business by unlocking operational scale.
  

Who you are

Our ideal Product Manager will be entrepreneurial, user-focused, comfortable in ambiguity, and willing to jump into a messy problem space and create order. Ideally you’ve worked with operational teams in the past and have a sense of what great looks like.

Minimum requirements

• 6+ years of relevant product management experience with a track record of delivering excellent results
  
• Experience managing technical software products from kick-off to ship
  
• Strong stakeholder management skills - including the ability to influence stakeholders across organizations and borders
  
• Strong communications skills - you can summarize and express complex requirements in an accessible and precise manner
  
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, gather data, build intuition and develop strategy.
  

Preferred qualifications

• Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
  
• Experience working with operational teams.
