About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and operationally-minded professional to join our Finance & Strategy CoE as Analyst. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business problems, and can seamlessly navigate between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
You will serve as a critical bridge between Finance & Strategy, Data Science, Strategy & Operations, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, managing executive-level requests, driving cross-functional initiatives, and continuously improving processes through automation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting, Metrics & Analytics:
Build and own models for in-depth analyses, as well as ensure their quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
Partner with cross functional teams, such as Data Science, to develop reporting dashboards, define metrics and leading indicators of business performance
Translate business questions into analytical frameworks to generate insights into business performance and operational efficiency.
Process Optimization & Automation:
- Identify recurring work patterns and convert ad-hoc requests into structured, automated processes.
- Manage data workflows, streamline reporting processes, and leverage tools for efficiency gains.
- Drive continuous process improvement, standardization, and simplification across Finance & Strategy workflows
Cross-Functional Program Management:
Drive high-priority initiatives such as annual planning, forecasting cycles, and other cross-functional programs across Stripe
Own end-to-end execution from scoping through to implementation, managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring alignment and timely delivery.
Executive Support & Strategic Materials:
- Support preparation for internal operating forums, board meetings, and executive leadership reviews.
- Synthesize complex information into concise executive summaries and decision-ready materials to shape and influence decision-making.
- Respond to executive-level inquiries requiring quick turnaround and cross-functional data gathering
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence:
- Build strong collaborative working relationships with senior leaders across Finance & Strategy, Data Science, Strategy & Operations, Product and GTM.
- Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, working tactfully to align competing priorities and drive consensus — often influencing without direct authority.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Equity Research, Management Consulting, Strategy & Operations, or Corporate Strategy roles
- MBA or Master's degree from a top-tier program
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate them into actionable strategies
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, including experience working with C-level executives and senior leadership, and influencing without direct authority
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, decision-ready materials
- Self-starter mentality with demonstrated ability to drive initiatives without close supervision
- The ability to maintain high performance under tight timelines and a "roll up your sleeves" mindset to get any job done
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a high-growth technology or fintech company
- Demonstrated experience in process automation, workflow optimization, or business process improvement
- Experience in data visualization and dashboarding
- Proficiency in SQL or a willingness to learn
- Strong knowledge of GSuite tools, Oracle, Anaplan, Tableau, or other equivalent application experience
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.
