About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies, from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups, use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead of us. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Reconciliation Platform team plays a critical role in Stripe's payment processing system, which handles hundreds of billions of dollars in card payments annually. Our team owns the post-transaction system responsible for reconciling money, tracing the end-to-end flow of funds, and ensuring Stripe can close its books and meet financial obligations to merchants and partners.

Reconciliation is essential for running a payment business, and given Stripe's significant transaction volume, engineers on our team have the opportunity to:

  • Build the next generation Reconciliation platform that integrates global card network reports with internal payment data for settlement, dispute, and cost processes.
  • Leverage advanced data engineering skills to handle complex financial data at scale.
  • Develop tooling suites that provide end-to-end traceability of money throughout the entire Stripe system.

What you’ll do:

You will have an opportunity to play a hands-on role in significantly advancing our current platforms to be significantly more efficient and resilient:

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data interfaces across Stripe’s engineering teams
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
  • Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Join us to work on cutting-edge financial technology and help shape the future of global payments infrastructure.
