Program Manager, Solutions Architecture (Product Interlock)

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Solutions Architecture (SA) org aims to be a destination pre-sales organization of world-class technical sellers who set and raise the bar in our interactions with Stripe users. Our goal is to drive Stripe’s long-term revenue growth as trusted technical advisors to users and partners and reliable voice of the user to Stripe Product. The Solutions Architecture Strategic Programs team is a small, high-impact team within SA that partners with global SA leadership to design and deliver programs that address the org’s most strategic priorities (i.e. “Big Rocks”) and time-sensitive business challenges. Our team delivers efficiency and leverage to the SA org by designing programs that 1) reduce friction for SAs to deliver user impact and 2) scale best practices to drive the broadest possible global impact.

What you’ll do

As an SA program manager focused on Product Interlock, you’ll steer design, decision-making, and delivery on programs that establish the global SA org as a trusted advisor on Stripe’s solutions externally and a reliable Voice of Customer to Stripe Product teams internally. Within SA, you’ll focus on scaling the expertise and impact of our SA and Demo Engineering teams. Outside of SA, you’ll also collaborate closely with Stripe’s Product, Product Operations, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and Developer Relations (DevRel) teams on joint workstreams that drive user impact.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate SA and Demo Eng participation in Stripe’s largest user-facing conferences - Sessions and Tours
  • Partner with Developer, SSMB, Enterprise, Partner, and Industries Marketing to define processes that scale SA thought leadership to external partners and users through webinars and whitepapers
  • Partner with Field Marketing and DevRel to operationalize SA participation in industry conferences, Executive Briefing Centers, and Developer Meet-ups
  • Partner with Product Operations to define and operationalize processes to embed SA expertise into various phases of Stripe’s product development cycle (e.g. Experimental Projects, private and public previews)
  • Partner with Product Operations to synthesize SA user insights and product feedback to inform regular Product roadmap prioritization, planning, and review
  • Partner with SA Enablement and Product SMEs to define and operationalize SA knowledge management best practices for deepening product expertise

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, business operations, consulting, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in product development and launch (e.g. Product, ProdOps, PMM) or customer-facing GTM (e.g. Sales, Partnerships, Account Management, Professional Services, Support, etc.)
  • Extensive experience influencing across all levels from individual contributors to front-line managers to C-Suite.
  • A strong track record of delivering end-to-end global, complex programs with multiple stakeholders in changing, ambiguous environments.
  • You work well under pressure and are highly adaptive and flexible in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • You are adept at analyzing data and communicating ideas and can transition seamlessly from in-depth detail to high-level strategic thinking.
  • You have extensive experience solving business problems (i.e. commercial, operational, financial) in a Sales-oriented environment and digging into user or employee workflows / pain points to design and deliver improvements.
  • You set a high-bar in terms of communication effectiveness and influence cross functional stakeholders to align and execute on common objectives.
  • You demonstrate leadership qualities throughout your work by taking ownership of challenges, selflessly supporting your colleagues, and setting the standard for quality in your deliverables

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, payments, or regulated technology environments.
  • Experience driving decisions and operating with incomplete data and reprioritizing as business needs change.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data analysis platforms such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience organizing and staffing events with Marketing, Developer Relations, or Partner Development teams.
  • Background in Solutions Architecture or GTM programs.

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $141,600 - $212,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
