Head of Americas Partner Solutions Architect

Who We Are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Members of the Partner Solutions Architecture (PSA) team are responsible for providing technical guidance to Stripe’s key strategic partners. Our goal is to drive growth through co-solutioning, education and enablement with our partner organization. PSAs are a critical technical liaison to the Stripe Partner Development Manager. This involves creating comprehensive technical business plans for Partners, including identifying, incubating and bringing to market service/solution offerings built on or with Stripe. A Partner Solutions Architect is someone who is intellectually curious, motivated to win, open and entrepreneurial.

What you’ll do

As a dynamic and experienced Head of Americas Partner Solutions Architect, you will lead our growing team of Partner Solutions Architects across the United States. This role will focus on building robust alliances with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) such as Salesforce, Commercetools, and AWS, as well as Global System Integrators (GSIs) like Accenture, on top of other strategic regional partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen and managerial prowess, driving the development and execution of strategic initiatives that foster collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Partner Solutions Architects, providing guidance on best practices for engaging with partners and driving successful technical implementations.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the capability of the PSA team in supporting ISV and SI partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, product, and engineering teams, to ensure alignment in partner strategies and initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with key partner accounts, understanding their needs and translating them into action for the Partner Solutions Architecture team.
  • Analyze market trends and partner feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and direct the team in addressing these areas.
  • Drive technical workshops, webinars, and training sessions to enable partners to leverage our products effectively.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in technical leadership, partner management, or solutions architecture, with a proven record of working with ISVs and GSIs, including 10+ years in a technical pre-sales leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, APIs, software architecture, and integration technologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A results-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $293,800 - $440,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
