1. Alma Disclosures
Alma is a Société par Actions Simplifiée (simplified joint-stock company) registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 839 100 575, with its registered office located at 176 Avenue Charles de Gaulle, 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine (France).
Alma is licensed in France as both a payment institution and a financing company by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, or “ACPR” – 4 place de Budapest, 75009 Paris, France), under the number 90786, and operates under its oversight.
2. Alma Use Restrictions
In addition to the categories of businesses restricted from using Stripe overall, the following categories are prohibited from using Alma:
- Educational services
- Professional services (including, but not limited to, legal, consulting, and accounting)
- Transportation services
- Travel services
- Telecommunication services and utilities
- Veterinary services
- Other categories at the discretion of Alma and Stripe

Alma’s payment services can only be offered to customers located in France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Luxemburg, and the Netherlands.
3. Suspension Rights
In addition to the suspension rights included in the Stripe Services Agreement, Alma has certain additional rights to suspend or terminate your use of Alma, such as for breach of the prohibited business categories listed above or for suspected fraud. In particular, non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations may lead to suspension or termination of your use of Alma.
4. Refunds
You will inform Stripe any time a full or partial refund is required due to a goodwill gesture, withdrawal, or cancellation. You agree to:
- refund Stripe any amounts received within 14 days following the customer’s exercise of its right of withdrawal, except for justified delays; and
- not directly issue a refund to the customer and issue any refunds via Stripe.
5. Settlement
Due to Alma’s requirements, Stripe may not settle transaction amounts to you sooner than 3 days after the customer has requested a credit agreement with Alma.
6. Provision of Goods and Services
If you provide goods or services to the customer before the customer’s credit agreement with Alma is concluded, provision of the goods or services is at your own risk.
7. Required Customer Terms
You agree to include in your own general terms of sale:
- customers can make purchases in installments using Alma.
- a customer’s purchase using Alma is subject to Alma’s terms and conditions.
- non-approval by Alma for a purchase may result in the cancellation of that purchase.
- a customer purchasing a good or service with Alma has a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the purchase to withdrawal.
- termination (with retroactive effect or otherwise) of the general terms of sale between you and the customer, including in the event of the customer’s exercise of its right of withdrawal, will result in the termination of Alma’s general terms and conditions of use or the credit agreement between Alma and the customer.
Additionally, you acknowledge that you offer to your customers the ability to select Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 as a payment option and that a customer’s purchase using Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 as a payment option is subject to the customer’s acceptance of the general terms and conditions of use or the credit agreement offered by Alma.
8. Alma Transactions
Alma may be required to request the customer’s authorization to view the customer’s bank account transaction history and additional personal documents.
If Alma concludes that a risk of fraud or default exists, Alma may, at its sole discretion, refuse to complete the transaction.
In the event of fraud on the part of the customer, Alma may take any action it deems necessary against the Customer.
9. Information Sharing
You agree that your information can be shared with Alma. For more information, see Stripe’s Privacy Center and Alma’s Privacy and Data Management Policy.
10. Customer Eligibility
Alma decides if customers can use Alma for purchases and can refuse any customer from using Alma, including, but not limited to, for fraud and AML-CFT reasons.
11. Loan Referrer
If you choose to offer Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 to your customers, you will be considered a “loan referrer” (per Article R519-2 2° of the French Monetary and Financial Code). As a loan referrer you undertake to abide by applicable laws and regulations applicable to loan referrers. In addition, you will limit your activities relating to the offering of Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 to your customers to the following (all of which are optional, not required):
- informing customers interested in using Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 that Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 is an available payment option;
- referring the customer to Alma for purposes of selecting Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 as a payment option;
- supplying Alma with the contact information of individuals interested in selecting Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 as a payment option;
- supplying the customer, free of charge, with promotional documents made available by Alma regarding Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12.
You may not undertake any other role in any circumstances or any other advertising prerogatives. Any breach of these requirements will be your sole responsibility.
In case you want to extend your prerogatives, you may contact Alma and proceed with a side-agreement.
12. Advertising
If you choose to offer Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12 to your customers, you will comply with the applicable laws and regulations regarding the advertising of Alma Pay in 10, Pay in 12.

You will direct your customers to submit any complaints relating to Alma to support@almapay.com.
