MEMPHIS AND SAN FRANCISCO—Today, FedEx Dataworks and Stripe announced a long-term, strategic collaboration to help reduce friction in global commerce by combining signals from the global FedEx network and Stripe financial infrastructure. The first joint solution is planned for launch in early 2027. The two companies plan to leverage their respective platforms to expand access to financing for tens of thousands of small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Additionally, FedEx will begin using Stripe as an option to process payments, adding more than 50 new payment methods to their checkouts through Stripe.

Securing capital remains a persistent hurdle for logistics-heavy SMBs. Traditional financing models rely on bank statements and credit scores, often overlooking operational indicators such as shipment activity, inventory movement, and fulfillment performance. By leveraging supply chain intelligence from FedEx Dataworks to help inform financing analysis with Stripe Capital, Dataworks and Stripe are seeking to close that gap and enable FedEx SMB customers to access funding that better reflects how they operate. With these real-time operational signals, Stripe will be better positioned to evaluate, approve, and deploy tailored funding more quickly than traditional lending processes, eliminating the friction for SMBs.

"Every day, FedEx helps move more than $2 trillion in global commerce, giving us unique visibility into how businesses operate," said Vishal Talwar, executive vice president, chief digital and information officer of FedEx Corp., and president of FedEx Dataworks. "Our focus at Dataworks is to leverage that intelligence by building solutions that create value for customers and help make supply chains smarter. This collaboration is an important step in laying the foundation for future innovations across the global economy."

"FedEx and Stripe power the physical and digital foundations of global trade," said John Collison, co-founder and president of Stripe. "Together, we can turn the operational momentum of a small business, like shipping a thousand packages a week, into access to growth finance through Stripe Capital.”

FedEx will also use Stripe to expand payment options for FedEx customers globally, adding more than 50 new payment methods to FedEx checkouts. With a wider variety of local payment methods, FedEx can help remove checkout friction so customers can pay how they prefer.

This announcement marks the beginning of a strategic, long-term collaboration between FedEx Dataworks and Stripe, laying the foundation for the next generation of business solutions powered by FedEx Dataworks logistics signals and Stripe’s financial infrastructure. As the collaboration evolves, both companies expect to scale these capabilities to meet the needs of increasingly complex global enterprise.
