1. Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Terms - Connected Accounts. 

This addendum, Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Terms - Connected Accounts (“Addendum”), applies to your use of the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Services and supplements the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Accountholder Terms and the General Terms. To the extent that there is a conflict between the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Accountholder Terms and this Addendum related to Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Services, this Addendum will prevail.

2. The Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Services 

The Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Service is a Preview Service through which you may initiate a Check Send from the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Dashboard (“Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Service”). Each Check Send initiated through the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Services is an Activity and a Financial Account Transaction. 

3.  Using Check Send

3.1. To initiate a Check Send, you must use the Check Send Technology provided by your Stripe Connect Platform. Availability of the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Services may be affected by your mobile carrier’s coverage area. In order to initiate a Check Send, you must provide the information requested through the Check Send Technology. 

3.2. After you initiate a Check Send, funds will be deducted from your Available Balance and sent to the Check Funding Account. In order to initiate a Check Send, your Financial Account must hold a balance equal to or greater than the Check Send amount. Notwithstanding section 11.2 of the Financial Account Terms, funds in the Check Funding Account are not expected to be eligible for pass-through FDIC Insurance.

3.3. Upon receipt of sufficient funds from your Available Balance in the Check Funding Account, the Check Send Network Operator will produce a check in an amount equal to your Check Send amount and send the produced check to your indicated recipient. 

3.4. Stripe shall not be liable for any delay in a Check Send or for (i) any failure by the recipient to deposit the check or maintain control of the check, (ii) any failure or delay caused by the postal service, (iii) any failure, refusal or decision by the recipient’s depository institution not to accept the check. 

3.4. Daily, weekly and monthly limits and minimum amounts may apply to your Check Send, which Stripe, your Stripe Connect Platform, or the Check Send Network Operator may change without notice at their sole discretion.

3.5. Checks may only be sent to addresses located within the fifty states of the United States and the District of Columbia.

4. Services Restrictions. 

4.1. You must not use the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Services other than for the purpose for which it is provided and in accordance with this Addendum and any requirements set by your Stripe Connect Platform.

4.2. Checks may be refused or returned by the individual or company to whom the payment was issued or by the depository financial institution. The determination to accept this method of payment is at the discretion of the recipient. The postal service responsible for the mailing of the check may also return payments in cases of expired or invalid addresses. If the check payment is returned for any reason, the payment will be voided and the full amount credited to your Financial Account .

4.3. If your check has not been presented for payment within the timeline selected by User’s Stripe Connect Platform, the check will be cancelled and funds returned to the Financial Account.

4.4. You may attempt to initiate a stop payment of a check as long as it has not been presented for payment by utilizing the Check Send Technology provided by your Stripe Connect Platform. Funds from any successfully cancelled check will be credited to your Financial Account.

4.5. You agree not to postdate any check drawn on the Financial Account.

4.6. You authorize Stripe to release funds availability information about your Financial Account to the Check Send Network Operator or to third parties who represent to us that they have received a check from you.

5. Definitions

“Check Funding Account” means a custodial account that RSP maintains, in its name, at a Financial Account Bank, for the benefit of all accountholders using the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Service.

“Check Send Network Operator” means the operator(s) of the network through which the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Check Send Service is provided.

“Check Send Technology” means the technology that allows you to initiate a Check Send through the Stripe Treasury for Platforms Dashboard.

“Check Send” means the creation and sending of a check initiated through the Check Send Technology.
