Stripe offers subscription-based pricing plans for bundled products and certain individual products. This Subscription Pricing and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains how those plans work, including how they begin, renew, are billed, and may be cancelled. This Policy supplements the Stripe Services Agreement, including any Service Terms that may apply. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Policy have the same meanings given to them in the Stripe Services Agreement.
You can sign up or switch to a Subscription Plan from the Your plans page in the Stripe Dashboard if your region is supported. We’re actively expanding Subscription Plans to more regions.
1. Free Trials.
You can enroll in a free trial if you are a new user of a specific Subscription Service and that Subscription Service offers a free trial. If you select a Subscription Plan when signing up to a free trial, you will automatically be enrolled into the Subscription Plan you selected once the free trial expires. If you did not previously select a Subscription Plan, you will lose access to that Subscription Service at the end of your free trial. You may cancel your Subscription Plan anytime prior to the end of your free trial to avoid being charged.
2. Minimum Commitment.
Each Subscription Plan requires a monthly or annual commitment. After you enroll, you are responsible for Subscription Service Fees and any additional Fees incurred for the full term, even if you schedule a cancellation before your Subscription Plan ends.
3. Automatic Renewals.
Subscription Plans automatically renew for one-month or one-year (as applicable) terms unless you schedule a cancellation before the renewal date.
4. Cancel a Subscription.
Either you or Stripe may cancel your Subscription Plan at any time. Any cancellation will take effect at the end of your then-current Subscription Plan term. You must be an account admin to cancel a Subscription Plan. You can schedule a cancellation from the Dashboard settings under Your plans.
Once your current Subscription Plan ends, your account will automatically transition to pay-as-you-go pricing and you will no longer be able to access any unused entitlements or features that are only available through a Subscription Plan. If pay-as-you-go pricing is not available for a specific Service, you will no longer be able to access the Service once your current Subscription Plan ends.
5. Restarting Your Subscription.
If you no longer want to cancel your Subscription Plan or scheduled a Subscription Plan cancellation by mistake, you can resubscribe at any time before the end of your current Subscription Plan from the Dashboard settings under Your plans.
Once reinstated, your Subscription Plan automatically renews on the original auto-renew date. If your cancellation has already occurred, you can resubscribe from the Dashboard settings.
6. Subscription Fees and Overage Fees.
A Subscription Service Fee covers usage up to the entitlement limit for your Subscription Plan during your current term. Some entitlements may incur additional Fees as disclosed in the Subscription Plan. If usage exceeds your entitlement, overage Fees will apply for this excess usage. We might, at any time, waive any overages or additional Fees at our discretion.
7. Usage Entitlements.
Usage entitlement is the amount of usage included in your Subscription Plan. This is the limit you selected when signing up, and it determines how much of the Subscription Service you can use before incurring overage Fees. You can see your entitlements and track your usage from the Your plans page in the Stripe Dashboard.
8. Charge Schedule.
You will be charged your recurring Subscription Service Fee at the start of your Subscription Plan and again at the start of every subsequent billing period (this aligns with whichever plan you selected). You will be charged for any additional Fees, including overage Fees, at the end of the billing period that they were incurred or another cadence as communicated to you.
9. How Stripe Charges You.
Your Subscription Service Fee will be charged to your selected payment method.
If you wish to change your payment method for your Subscription Plans, you can do so in the Dashboard settings. Your newly selected payment method will be charged at the next billing period.
10. Change Your Plan.
You can upgrade or downgrade your Subscription Plan at any time, although the date that upgrade or downgrade is effective varies by the Subscription Service. You can change your Subscription Plan from the Dashboard settings under Your plans. If this option is not available, contact support to change your plan.

11. Failed or Missed Payments.
Stripe reserves the right to temporarily suspend your access to Subscription Services and change your payment method to your Stripe account balance for Subscription Plan charges if you fail to pay, dispute a Subscription Plan charge, or as otherwise provided for in the Stripe Services Agreement.
12. Refund Policy for Cancellation of Subscriptions.
Fees are non-refundable, and we do not offer prorated refunds if you cancel before the end of your Subscription Plan term. You are responsible for the full Subscription Service Fees, including applicable Taxes and overage Fees for the entire Subscription Plan term.
13. Taxes on Subscription Plans.
Subscription Service Fees exclude all Taxes unless expressly stated to the contrary. If Stripe is required to collect Taxes, we may charge you Taxes and remit them to the appropriate Governmental Authority. These rates may change, and some jurisdictions may require self-assessment for tax compliance reporting.
14. Preview Services.
A subscription offering or certain Subscription Services available as part of a Subscription Plan may be designated as a ‘Preview Service’.
