Stripe named a Leader by Gartner for its Billing Product for third consecutive year

Stripe named a leader by Gartner

SAN FRANCISCO AND DUBLIN—Programmable financial services company Stripe was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Recurring Billing Applications for the third year in a row.

AI is rapidly changing how businesses price their products. As companies add usage-based pricing to subscription plans, expand internationally, and manage more complex recurring revenue models, billing systems need to adapt as quickly as their products do. Gartner recognized Stripe for its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision across other recognized vendors. To help businesses manage more complex usage-based models, Stripe acquired Metronome in January 2026.

“Billing has become part of how businesses design and evolve their products,” said Tyler Bryson, Chief Revenue Officer at Stripe. “Teams need the freedom to test new pricing models, measure usage, and expand into new markets without rebuilding the systems underneath. Stripe Billing is built to give them that flexibility.”

Companies like Anthropic, Cursor, Linear, Browserbase, and Jobber use Stripe Billing to manage subscription and usage-based revenue. Learn more about Stripe Billing and read the complimentary report.
