Wero Payment Terms

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Wero is a pan-European instant payment method that allows Customers to make secure payments through the Wero app or their banking app. By using Wero through Stripe, you agree to comply with these Wero payment terms, which supplement the provisions of the Stripe Services Agreement with respect to your use of Wero:

  1. You authorize Stripe to register your business information with EPI in order to provide Wero.
  2. If you accept Wero through a website or app, you must make your registered business address, privacy policy, customer service contact details and any refund or cancellation policy available to Customers.
  3. You may issue a Wero refund only for a Wero payment previously made to you and only in the same currency as the original transaction. You authorise Stripe to initiate or process a refund on your behalf where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable EPI or Wero rules, resolve a dispute or give effect to your instructions.
  4. You must cooperate with our reasonable requests for information and assistance in connection with an investigation, pre-dispute, dispute, chargeback or other Wero process. You must promptly provide supporting information and take any action we reasonably request within the applicable timeframe, including in connection with an accepted pre-dispute resolution.
  5. If you provide electronic receipts, they must be available to the Customer in downloadable or emailable form for at least 180 calendar days. A declined-transaction receipt must not disclose detailed fraud or regulatory reasons for the decline.
  6. When Wero is offered to your Customers, you must comply with Wero's UX Checkout, Brand and Marketing Guidelines and ensure that Wero Marks are displayed in accordance with those guidelines. You must not display or present Wero less prominently or less favourably than other payment methods that you accept.
  7. You must not use Wero in connection with a payment-facilitation, marketplace or other submerchant model without our prior written approval.
  8. If we make Wero available to you while you are established outside the European Union, you must comply with applicable EU legal and regulatory requirements, including PSD2 and the GDPR.
