SAN FRANCISCO—Stripe, a global technology company building economic infrastructure for the internet, today announced an expanded partnership with Mindbody to power advanced online and in-studio customer experiences for wellness customers in North America and across Europe. With more than 1.3 million monthly active users, 3.7 million classes booked monthly, and more than 145,000 new users monthly, Mindbody connects the world to wellness and is now teaming up with Stripe to help the wellness industry adapt across the globe.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused the popularity of virtual workouts to soar: Mindbody data show that in June, 70% of consumers were using pre-recorded video versus 17% in 2019; and that 71% were using livestream classes weekly versus 7% in 2019. Even after studios reopen, 46% of people surveyed by Mindbody stated that they intend to make virtual classes a regular part of their routine.
As people have replaced the yoga studio with an iPhone in the living room, Mindbody has ramped up its investments in technology to make the digital work-out experience more convenient and accessible. As part of this, Mindbody is deploying Stripe in Canada and across Europe to boost online revenue conversion for its customers experiencing surging demand for everything from live-streamed Pilates to guided meditation.
Mindbody powers hybrid fitness experiences with Stripe Terminal in North America
