1. Stripe Database Services.

These terms (“Stripe Database Terms”) are Service Terms for the purposes of the Agreement, which supplement the General Terms and govern User’s use of the Stripe Database Services. Capitalized terms that are not defined in these Stripe Database Terms have the same meanings given to them in the Agreement. The Stripe Database Services are Preview Services.

2. User’s Obligations. 

2.1 Database Access Security. User must keep their database access credentials such as username, password, and any other access information for the Stripe Database Services secure and confidential. User is responsible for all activity and data exposure that occurs due to unauthorized access to the Stripe Database Services not caused by Stripe’s negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.

2.2 Protected Health Information. User must not, and will ensure that its Connected Accounts (if applicable) do not, provide Protected Health Information to Stripe in connection with the Stripe Database Services.

2.3 Intended Use. User must not, and must not enable or allow any other party to, access or use the Stripe Database Services and Stripe Data (a) for any purpose other than the purpose for which it is provided; or (b) in violation of any Law or the Agreement. If any Stripe Data is made available through the Stripe Database Services, User must use that Stripe Data only for accounting and financial reporting, business analytics, or other accounting-related business purposes provided those purposes are not otherwise restricted by the General Terms, these Stripe Database Terms, or any other Service Terms. Any Stripe Radar Data and Identity Services Data made available through Stripe Database Services may only be used for security or fraud prevention purposes or as Stripe otherwise agrees in writing. Upon Stripe’s request, User will demonstrate its compliance with this section to Stripe’s reasonable satisfaction. 

3. Stripe’s Rights. 

3.1 Protective Actions. Stripe may, at its discretion, temporarily throttle, rate-limit, or suspend User's access to the Stripe Database Services if Stripe reasonably determines that User's query volume or usage patterns are degrading the performance, stability, or security of the Stripe Database Services for other users.

3.2. Preview Fees. Stripe reserves the right to apply or change Fees, including applicable Taxes, for the Stripe Database Services, subject to any notice period required by Law. User’s continued use of the Stripe Database Services after the Fees become effective constitutes User’s acceptance of the Fees.

4. Security and Compliance Exclusions.

Stripe will provide User the Stripe Database Services, including  replicating and updating Stripe Data, only at User’s direction. Stripe Database Services are a Preview Service and not subject to Stripe’s standard compliance certifications, access controls requirements, or related auditing commitments. User's use of the Stripe Database Services is at its own risk.

5. Termination.

Stripe reserves the right to terminate or suspend User’s access to the Stripe Database Services at any time. Upon termination or suspension of the Stripe Database Services, User will immediately lose access to the Stripe Database Services and Stripe will delete all associated data. User’s obligations under Section 2.1 (Database Access Security) of these Stripe Database Terms, and any existing obligation User has under the Agreement to delete or destroy data, will survive the termination of these Stripe Database Terms.

6. Disclaimer. 

User is fully responsible for, and the Stripe is not liable for, any losses, damages, costs, fines, fees, or penalties related to: (a) any unavailability, downtime, or performance degradation of the Stripe Database Services; (b) any sync latency, out-of-order events, or data loss; (c) User’s reliance on the Stripe Database Services for critical runtime application logic; and (d) User’s failure to implement appropriate fallback mechanisms. User’s access and use of any Third-Party Service is at its own risk and Stripe disclaims all responsibility and liability for User’s use of any Third-Party Service, including to any large language models and AI platforms. User is solely responsible for any outputs, actions, or decisions made by any Third-Party Service connected to the Stripe Database Services, including those resulting from bugs, hallucinations, or misinterpretations.

7. Definitions.

“Agreement” means the Stripe Services Agreement between Stripe and User located at stripe.com/legal or as otherwise agreed by the parties.

“Stripe Database Services” means the Stripe-managed hosted database infrastructure.
