SAN FRANCISCO AND DUBLIN—Stripe, the programmable financial services company, today announced that Meta has integrated Link’s wallet for agents with Muse, its new personal AI agent. US consumers can connect their Link accounts to Muse and enable their muse agent to buy from businesses across the internet.

Agents have become capable of increasingly complex tasks in recent months, but making purchases remains difficult. Ecommerce was built for people. People browse websites, compare prices, enter cards, and complete checkout flows. For agents to become economic actors, they need to be able to navigate the internet as people do, and they need to be equipped with the payment options businesses and consumers use today. That’s where Link, Stripe’s consumer network with over 300 million users globally, comes in. Earlier this year, Stripe introduced Link's wallet for agents, which gives agents the ability to spend across the internet on behalf of consumers. Now, Meta is bringing that experience to Muse.

At more than 1 million businesses that accept Link, Muse can check out instantly using a US consumer’s preferred payment method saved in Link. This helps businesses benefit from Link’s higher conversion and authorization rates. For other businesses, Link issues Muse a single-use virtual card scoped to the approved purchase. For every purchase, consumers are asked to approve the transaction total directly in the chat interface, and Muse never sees their underlying payment details.

“Stripe is building the infrastructure that lets agents buy from businesses,” said Jay Shah, business lead for Link at Stripe. “By equipping Muse with Link’s wallet for agents, Meta is helping more consumers experience the magic of having an agent shop on their behalf.”

This follows Stripe’s recent announcements that Link agent wallet helps power payments for Grok Bot and Instinct. Stripe is building the economic infrastructure for AI. That includes empowering agents to transact on behalf of consumers, and helping businesses accept payments from agents with confidence.
