Standard Connect offers the simplest path to getting started with Connect for multiparty payments and payouts. With Standard Connect, your users’ dashboard experience is completely handled by Stripe. Stripe will also be your merchants’ main point of contact for payments-related issues as your merchants will have a direct relationship with Stripe. Standard Connect works best for businesses building fully-featured SaaS applications, donation platforms, or plugin businesses like scheduling or e-commerce carts. With Standard Connect, your merchants can connect an existing Stripe account or create a new one. Your platform will be authorized to create charges on their connected account.
Before getting started, make sure to log in or register for a Stripe account.
Your Standard Connect platform allows you to create and update payments, customers, refunds, and disputes on behalf of your connected accounts. Track these changes using the Connect webhooks described in the server-side integration section. It’s not possible to view sensitive details on the connected account like webhook endpoints, payout bank information, or identity information. It’s also not possible to control any of the connected account’s Dashboard settings, including payout schedules or Radar rules such as verification checks (CVV and AVS).
