An organization allows you to manage your business across multiple Stripe accounts.
Creating an organization connects your accounts and enables cross-account capabilities. Creating an organization doesn’t impact your existing API integrations because your payment and customer transactions continue to occur within your accounts. Additionally, organizations don’t have a legal entity and don’t require onboarding.
Creating an organization might streamline your business operations if you:
- Manage multiple accounts that process transactions in various countries and have a separate tax ID or legal entity.
- Maintain separate revenue streams for business lines to simplify reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Acquire another business that uses Stripe.
You can add multiple standalone accounts, platforms, or connected accounts to an organization.
