Learn about automated recovery features that help you collect payments.
Stripe provides a number of automated recovery features, such as sending emails when a failed payment occurs and retrying payments at strategic times. This helps collect payments that might’ve been unsuccessful. When a payment fails, Stripe tries to collect it according to the rules defined under Manage failed payments in your Subscriptions and emails settings. Stripe doesn’t retry collecting payment:
- If the payment method is unavailable.
- If the customer is using a bank debit payment method.
- If the connected account is no longer attached (Connect only).
- If the customer is using an India issued card.
