Site Developer/Designer Hybrid Remote- North America

The Site team enables and accelerates communication between Stripe and everyone in the world through stripe.com.

Stripe aims to increase the GDP of the internet. Meeting this challenge requires that we grow and adapt our products to help an increasingly diverse set of people run their businesses. Equally as important is our ability to communicate with people in the world about what we’re building in a way that’s clear, compelling, and timely. That’s where the Site team comes in.

The Site team works side-by-side Stripe’s marketing, design, and product teams to tell the stories of our products to the rest of the world. We sometimes tell these stories directly by building delightful experiences that explain what we’re up to. In addition, we build tools that let other Stripes produce content for our users.

As a developer on this team you’ll partner with designers and experiment with state-of-the-art web technologies as you implement materials for product launches. We’re looking for folks with visual design chops who care deeply about communicating clearly with users in creative ways.

This team is (happily!) distributed. We’re open to folks who are remote or based in SF.

You will:

  • Work closely with Stripe’s world-class design team to prototype and implement animation- and interaction-heavy product launch materials on stripe.com
  • Occasionally help other engineers on the team architect and implement the tools and infrastructure which power Stripe’s go-to-market plans

You may be fit for this role if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience building public-facing websites which work elegantly across commonly used browsers
  • Partnered with designers to build at least one project which spanned a month or longer
  • Have built animation-heavy web experiences which exhibit a deep attention to detail
  • [for remote candidates] Have 2+ years of experience working remotely as an engineer on a distributed team with cross-functional dependencies
