The Account Management team at Stripe works with our largest existing customers - businesses ranging from high-growth startups to well-established enterprises. As manager of this team you will lead and coach a high-performing team of Account Managers, helping them deliver on ambitious targets, as well as roll up your sleeves to work directly with our largest and most complex customers.

We are looking for a proactive leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving complicated problems with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have management and leadership experience scaling a technology sales, growth or customer success team, and possess first-class analytical, communication and relationship-building skills, as well as a knack for understanding unique customer needs.

In this role you will:

  • Recruit, train and lead a team of account management professionals.
  • Develop both the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Be accountable for increasing revenue, fueling existing account growth, retention and customer satisfaction.
  • Coach, mentor and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills including management of the team’s book of business, phone and in-person meetings.
  • Work cross-functionally across Stripe to shape solutions to meet client needs. In particular this will involve working with the extended US/CA Sales team as well product and operational teams.
  • Inspire, motivate and enable individual development to promote career growth and to increase impact for Stripe.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 7+ years of technology sales experience, ideally with prior people management experience.
  • Experience leading sales, customer success and operations in a high-growth technology environment, across a range of industries and customer segments, especially mid-market to enterprise.
  • Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales and customer success team.
  • Ability to build executive-level relationships with strategic clients and industry thought leaders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, in particular with engineering and product teams to drive product improvements for our clients’ needs. Demonstrated passion and ability to understand and support clients’ business strategies and growth plans.

Nice to haves

  • Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company and/or payments industry
  • Prior experience in enterprise sales, account management, partnerships and/or business development
