The Stripe IT team is looking for an AV specialist to support our AV technology stack and ensure ongoing successful delivery of AV services globally. This role will be based in San Francisco and will be a primary point of contact for AV Support. You will work closely with our team, business partners and 3rd party vendors, providing support, managing AV/VC systems, handling escalations and acting as the front line for Stripe staff to give guidance on the best plan of action. This position will also be responsible for successful planning, strategy, execution, and measurement of Stripe AV Operations and Events.

We’re looking for someone who is excited about AV technology and passionate about providing the best end-user experience possible, mentoring others, and driving best practices within the team. This individual may manage deliverables in urgent or maintenance situations, which may require working outside of normal business hours and traveling to remote office locations. The ideal candidate will have remarkable AV troubleshooting skills, several years experience in AV Support in an enterprise environment and the ability to manage vendors and drive multiple projects independently. As the face of IT, this person must understand the office culture and maintain positive relationships with customers, business partners, and team members.

You will:

  • Act as subject matter expert for AV technologies and operations
  • Build, support and maintain IT/AV design standards and support processes
  • Partner with external/internal teams to plan, implement, and support AV/VC globally
  • Act as technical point of contact for projects and communicates status to the team
  • Respond promptly to support requests via email, ticketing, and chat
  • Be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting AV hardware and software applications
  • Be passionate about providing world-class customer experience
  • Document status of issues and provides updates to management, team, and end users
  • Provide timely resolution of AV issues or escalations
  • Travel up to 30% within the region to support offices and events

You may be fit for this role if you have:

  • 3+ years experience in AV support in a professional environment
  • Knowledge and ability to terminate various audio and data connections
  • Experience with cloud conferencing solutions such as Zoom and Blue Jeans
  • An understanding of line drawings, signal flow, and AV concepts
  • A familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Lifesize, Symmetrix, QSC and similar technologies
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of video conferencing solutions and support
  • Deep MacOS knowledge
  • Experience with VOIP systems
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies and concepts

‘Nice to Have’ experience:

  • Understanding of network fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc)
  • CTS, Crestron DM, or similar certification
  • Google Apps for enterprise experience
  • Degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Reinforcement or equivalent industry experience
