Build Stripe’s payments processing infrastructure

Stripe abstracts away the complexities of payments for our users. The Payments Platform team is responsible for integrating with payment providers and processing funds from them. We work with card processors, networks, and other payment systems around the world to ensure Stripe payments are processed successfully, correctly, and promptly. The Payments team is one of the few places in the world where moving information literally means moving money.

We’re looking for an experienced manager to lead this team and develop a payments platform that enables Stripe to efficiently support payment globally.

You will:

  • Work with other leaders at Stripe to design and execute our global payment approach from a technical, product, and operational perspective
  • Support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical productivity and quality
  • Manage processes to help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of Stripe
  • Recruit great engineers and engineering managers, in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team
  • Develop engineers and engineering managers on the team, helping them advance in their careers
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team
