Backend / API Engineer, Atlas San Francisco

Stripe Atlas engineers build tools to automate the complex process of starting a company and getting access to financial infrastructure.

At Stripe, we are working hard at growing the GDP of the internet by building products and processes to help run an online business. On the Stripe Atlas team, we’re working on tools to handle everything involved in establishing an online business to eliminate the lengthy paperwork, bank visits, legal complexity, numerous fees, and non-obvious decisions. Backend engineers on Stripe Atlas work build the integrations and orchestration to that founders use to start a company. You will work on projects that span technologies, systems, and partners where you will design, test, and ship great code every day. In this cross functional role, you will collaborate with experts in operations, legal, partnerships, design, and other engineering teams to build critical features that power Stripe Atlas users around the world.

You will:

  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
  • Build new features for internal and external users
  • Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as experts product, design, infrastructure, and operations
