Technical Program Manager, UX Platform

As a TPM, you will play a key role within engineering, driving projects that span across the organization. You will be responsible for major product and infrastructure initiatives with the highest degree of complexity, as well as helping grow a team of TPMs. Your impact will be felt across the company. You will spend a significant proportion of your time developing the capabilities of the team as a whole.

UX Platform’s mission is to increase the speed and quality of product development at Stripe. We do this by building common infrastructure that product teams use to build features and tools for them to understand the performance and quality of features once they are in production.

You will:

  • Drive functional and technical delivery of key team- and engineering-wide initiatives
  • Work across the organization to identify inefficiencies in our product development process
  • Collaborate with UX Platform engineering teams and stakeholders to design, scope, and shepherd features
  • Create functional specs, project / release plans, and roadmaps
  • Own and execute multiple software engineering programs simultaneously
  • Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiatives
  • Help influence peers / managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
  • Develop the Technical Program Manager team to support the growth of the larger infrastructure team

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 3+ years as a TPM, engineering leader or related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a related field
  • Consistent track record of shipping products with broad customer impact
  • Experience working closely with PM’s, designers, and data scientists
  • Strong customer service focus, with the ability to communicate and build relationships with highly technical teams
  • Strong analytic and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve systemic issues
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships, and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams
