About the team

Connect is Stripe’s leading product for marketplaces, on-demand services, e-commerce site builders, invoicing platforms, professional SaaS products, fundraising platforms, rental management platforms, and more. By utilizing the power of Connect, users in each of these categories can link multiple parties for the exchange of goods or services. These users rely on Connect for the crucial function of reliably routing payments between these parties.

By powering fast, flexible, compliant, and cost-efficient routing of payments on the internet, Connect not only spurs the creation of innovative business models but it also enables organizations (whether they are businesses, nonprofits, or governmental agencies) to channel previously-offline payments to the internet.

What you’ll do

As a Technical Program Manager in the Connect space you will play a key role within engineering and drive programs that span across the Connect organization and the whole company. You will be responsible for the successful definition, cross-functional strategy, planning and execution of large-scale technical programs within the Connect space.

Responsibilities

  • Define the programs’ structure and drive execution for Connect initiatives and cross-functional activities, including tracking upward and downward dependencies, compliance, conducting efficiency programs and audits, identifying potential blockers and implementing mitigation plans, and driving trade-off discussions.
  • Act as a representative of the Connect team in various cross-functional forums and business and technical reviews.
  • Drive Connect org-wide forums via defining and implementing end-to-end processes others can adopt and run independently.
  • Make substantial improvements to how the teams you work with communicate and operate to significantly increase the productivity and efficiency of the teams.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of technical product/program management experience
  • Experience managing technical software programs from kick-off to ship, demonstrating critical, analytical and problem-solving thinking and thought leadership
  • Consistent track record of program management of the ambitious and ambiguous 0-to-1 projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence and build strong relationships with the internal and external stakeholders and teams around the organization
  • You can drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions
  • Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with platform products that serve both internal and external customers

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $208,200 - $312,200. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
