Within the Small Business Risk pillar, the Onboarding team is responsible for the effectiveness of the systems that identify and mitigate risk and the impact those systems have on Stripe’s users. By partnering with other teams across risk, engineering and product, the Onboarding team works on creating excellent user experiences that help reduce losses and negative impact to the financial ecosystem while ensuring compliance with onboarding requirements. We are looking for a dedicated manager for the Onboarding team.

Stripe handles billions of dollars every year for businesses around the world, and the Risk org plays a critical role in the company’s financial and partnership health. As a manager on the Small Business Risk team, you will help enable safer payments for our users and protect Stripe. Your team will face some of the most complex and dynamic problems at Stripe, and you will use data and creativity to guide the team as it helps Stripe scale effectively.

You will:

  • Define and execute on a long-term vision for managing risk while still enabling Stripe and its users to grow.
  • Lead, grow, and manage a team of strategists running complex projects to build and execute on policies at scale.
  • Help your team members with professional growth and challenge them to exceed expectations through regular and actionable feedback.
  • Cultivate a data-driven culture that relies on fact-based decisions to effectively assess and monitor the portfolio.
  • Work with teams across Stripe to manage and lead cross-functional risk projects.
