Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions
of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious
startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and
accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the
GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That
means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy
within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your
career.

About the team

Stripe aims to deliver the best experience for businesses in the
industry. Our high quality standards are what we pride ourselves on. A
key component of that strategy is offering tools and technologies that
make it delightful to build user experiences with Stripe.  The UX
platform team is responsible for Stripe’s UX technology stack across
web, mobile, messaging, and leverages strategic investments like
internationalization, accessibility, design systems, and our app
platform.

What you’ll do

There are a million ways we can help teams build great UX, but as the
product manager on the UX Platform team, you’ll be responsible for
answering what we should build. In partnership with engineering and
design, you’ll coauthor the strategy and roadmap for UX platforms, with
the goal of each new release making a measurable impact on the speed and
skill we can deliver great experiences.  You’ll also define product
requirements and -- most importantly -- ship new features to market.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the UX Platform engineering teams to ship functionality
that delights users, has the right balance of impact vs engineering
cost, and makes a measurable impact on the business
  • Interact with customers daily and translate their needs into product
    requirements
  • Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for future investments in
    our UX platforms
  • Define key success metrics for our UX platforms
  • Work closely with user researchers to test hypotheses and understand
developer and product team pain points
  • Validate product ideas and prototypes with early adopters
  • Work closely with other product managers and engineering teams, 3rd
party app developers, and customers to test and adopt new features and
    drive product awareness and adoption

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be
considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are
encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a
requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience
  • Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of the tools and processes development teams use to
develop, build, and, test APIs and SDKs

Preferred qualifications

  • Both passion for and experience building technology as a platform
layer to serve customers both internally and externally.
  • You have experience building UX on the web or mobile and have a strong
understanding of developer needs to do it well
  • You’ve founded a business / startup
  • You are driven by the quality of the end-product experience and
getting the details right.  You only ship functionality after you’ve
personally test driven it and made heavy edits to the documentation.
