The Operational Planning & Strategy Lead sits within the Insights & Planning function of Operations at Stripe. We are looking for insightful and analytical individuals to be a strong business partner to key leaders in Operations and Finance. You will drive the financial planning and goal-setting process for global Operations at Stripe and accelerate our path to drive user satisfaction and build our operations for scale.

You will:

  • Build trusted partnerships with global leads in Operations and Finance
  • Lead and manage our Global Operations’ yearly budget and goal setting
  • Lead strategic and financial planning processes for global Operations (e.g., Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Long Range Plans, Annual Budget Plans, Board notes, Financial Reviews, etc.)
  • Align cross-functional goals and priorities against strategic initiatives

You might be a good fit if you:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in strategy and operations in a high-tech growth environment, or operational experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or business insights / analytics roles.
  • Have strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving unique business problems.
  • Are comfortable using SQL or navigating off-the-shelve reporting software (e.g. Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Are data-driven and enjoy working with data and large data sets.
  • Have an enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
  • Work well under pressure, with a high degree of dependability, adaptability and flexibility in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and likes working towards making the environment less ambiguous
  • Have a process-oriented mindset and the ability to lead people without formal authority

Nice to have (or excited to learn):

  • Experience in strategy consulting or finance
  • Experience in a high growth technology company
  • Experience in other user-facing roles (e.g. customer support, sales, etc) that require time-sensitive responses
  • Experience managing a team
  • CS background or affinities
