Marketing Operations

We are looking for an exceptional hands-on Marketing Technology Manager with a strong focus on marketing data and integration. In this role, you will help drive marketing and revenue initiatives through enabling technology and automation for the broader marketing team, defining, developing and providing key data sets and databases for marketing campaigns, reporting and analytics. You will be responsible for developing the data strategy and requirements for our marketing technology stack, and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, develop and execute on initiatives that will drive predictable revenue growth at scale.

You will:

  • Own Stripes marketing data strategy and be marketing’s data ambassador
  • Drive the data requirements for Stripe’s marketing technology stack (e.g. marketing automation, reporting, web analytics, infrastructure)
  • Write technical requirement documents and specifications
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams and manage technical cross-functional data initiatives
  • Drive data related configuration, integration, and implementation projects to support business needs
  • Develop and manage standardized databases for automation, dashboards and reporting for all major marketing campaigns and insights
  • Develop queries and transform disparate data sources into actionable marketing datasets for campaigns, automation, analytics and reporting
  • Establish data management practices and drive marketing data hygiene, quality, scalability, and governance
  • Design, maintain, educate and communicate marketing data and analytics best practices across the organization

You have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or similar
  • 5+ years hands on experience with databases, data platforms, data warehouses and analytics platforms
  • 2+ years experience and proficiency in SQL in a large and complex data environment
  • Experienced in developing data foundations, models and structures for marketing databases, platforms, technologies and systems
  • Ability to build data pipelines using integration services and big data technologies
  • Ability to think through a complex business problem, solve it and come up with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Proven track record in working with and driving cross-functional improvement projects with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience with marketing technologies like Marketo
  • Experience with sales automation systems like SFDC
  • Experience with technologies like AWS and Redshift, or similar

Nice to have:

  • Experience in developing visualization with Tableau, Looker or similar
  • Experience with a scripting language such as R or Python
  • Prior experience at a growth stage internet or software company
