Internationalisation Strategy & Operations Lead 

As a key member of our GTM team, our Internationalisation Strategy & Operations Lead supports the development and execution of our international growth strategy at Stripe, building capability to enter and grow in new international markets in an aligned and efficient way with a repeatable motion that generates high impact market launches and strong ongoing performance for Stripe. They will play a key role in defining our international growth strategy and, with their team, executing on that strategy to achieve our commercial growth goals.  

Our Internationalisation Strategy & Operations Lead will be a seasoned professional with strong business strategy, go-to-market business model and operations experience. This person will have strong capability in cross business alignment, excellent communication skills (can clearly describe strategy and drill into tactics), and the ability to interact with all functions, disciplines, and levels in the organization. 

As Internationalisation Strategy & Operations Lead

You will:

  • Work cross functionally with Regional Growth Leaders, Product, Finance, Risk, Financial Partnerships, Partnerships, Operations, Rev Ops and other stakeholders to set and maintain our international growth plan 
  • Develop and manage our new market launch schedule, considering market scale, product/market fit readiness, investment requirements and other factors
  • Establish an international market entry playbook which defines the processes and activity required to achieve high impact, repeatable new market launch excellence.  
  • Set up and lead a program management function to deliver structured, efficient market launches globally, focused on continuous improvement and achievement of commercial goals
  • Assure effective decision making and execution around new market entry and expansion

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 10 years experience in payments or technology industry related roles with deep knowledge on the dynamics of growing a business internationally
  • Experience in defining and executing on GTM strategies
  • Deep experience in working cross functionally, in particular with Product/Engineering, Sales, Marketing, - Operations, Partner, Finance and Risk organizations
  • Proven cross functional ability to lead and influence at a global level 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent collaboration, executive engagement and strategic thinking skills
  • A track record of delivering exceptional results in a high growth, fast paced and rapidly changing environment
