About the team
Insights and Planning (I&P) maximizes and accelerates Operations'
ability to make Stripe work for our users. We aspire to be the COOs for
Stripe Ops, working cross-functionally with global teams to help run the
day-to-day business and articulate and achieve the longer term, high
effort, high value strategic priorities. We take a data-driven approach
that combines strategy, analytics and core data infrastructure to help
Ops leaders solve their most complex and most important issues while
also driving the business planning and operational cadence end-to-end,
from strategy to goal-setting to execution.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to impact the team by being the
go-to expert of your business area, ensuring data driven decision making
is at the core of what we do. You’ll partner closely with leadership
teams across Operations and provide insights aimed at improving the
quality of our services as well as making our operations more efficient.
Responsibilities
- Wrangle large, highly complex datasets into actionable insights and
become the data expert for your business area
- Scope and land strategic priorities and plans, surfacing critical
insights, developing go-to-market and operating models, and driving
execution and accountability
- Perform analyses, conduct research, build models, and deliver
objective, critical insights that shape and enable strategy and
execution for Stripe and our users
- Drive bottom-up planning activities in your business area to enable
leadership to make strategic decisions, including
near/medium/long-term planning
- Develop and analyze key metrics for the health of our user-facing and
internal teams
- Guide the planning and goal-setting process for teams in Operations,
as well as progress checks throughout the year
- Influence and drive cross-functional stakeholder management, building
relationships with and credibility across a wide internal network
including Operations, Product/Engineering, Data Science and more
- Provide insights that will inform and shape the strategic priorities
in Operations
- Design, optimize and execute a standard cadence of operations to
deliver operational insights (e.g., weekly, monthly and quarterly
business reviews) with operational efficiency and strong control
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be

requirement.
Minimum requirements
- 8+ years of prior experience in analytical roles
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Mastery of SQL and understanding of data relationships
- Knowledge of statistics and experience working with large datasets
- Expertise working cross-functionally to drive business and operational
goals using data
- Project management skills and ability to hold others accountable for
results
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in fast-paced environments (e.g. high-growth
internet or software company, management consulting)
- Experience working in or with Operations, Sales, Support, or Account
Management
- Experience coaching and mentoring a team of analysts
- Experience with Tableau
- Ability to connect the big picture to the minute details, toggling
between them to operationalize strategy
