About the team

We are seeking Operations Insights & Planning (I&P) Analysts to drive and enable business performance in Ops’ Vendor Management team. 

Our team vision is to be the COOs for Stripe Ops, working cross-functionally with global teams to drive and enable the business by clarifying strategic priorities and plans, surfacing critical insights, developing go-to-market and operating models, and driving execution and accountability. I&P questions the status quo: as we grow, effective processes and insights are our currency for reducing coordination cost and maximising budget impact. We help translate strategic visions into profitable operations, enabling the business through productivity and experience improvements.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

The I&P Analyst will drive the data strategy and improvements for the vendor management team in close partnership with VM & Operations leadership. You will lead data and observability strategy for our support vendor ecosystem, build metrics and performance indicators, conduct analysis and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement, and partner closely with stakeholders on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable straddling metrics across Operations, Business and Technology, in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. 

You will:

• Wrangle large, highly complex datasets into actionable insights
• Use dashboards and other visualisation tools to build clear visibility into the health of vendor operations, working closely with our internal vendor management team 
• Develop key performance metrics, set targets and enable critical insights and action on trends that inform the health of our vendor ecosystem 
• Perform analyses, conduct research, build models, and deliver objective, critical insights that shape and enable Vendor Management strategy and execution
• Influence and drive cross-functional change by partnering with stakeholders across a wide internal network including Vendor Management team, Vendor Partners, Data Science, and more
• Help design, optimise and drive a standard cadence of operations to deliver critical insights (e.g. weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews) 
• Be a strategic thought-partner - help inform and drive strategic priorities through your unique expertise of the vendor ecosystem and of our data 

Who you are

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years of prior experience in analytical roles
• Prior experience working in or with BPO delivery, third-party engagements or outsourcing functions 
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Mastery of SQL and a strong understanding of data relationships
• Experience with Tableau and strong data visualization skills 
• Expertise working cross-functionally using data insights to drive business and operational goals
• Knowledge of statistical computing and experience working with large datasets
• Project management skills and ability to hold others accountable for results

Preferred qualifications

• * Experience working in fast-paced environments (e.g. high-growth internet or software company, management consulting)
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or another statistical programming language
  • Experience utilising machine learning in a production environment
